My office offers exciting part-time and full-time internship opportunities in both Washington, DC, and Ventura County. Interns gain hands-on experience in public service, working directly with constituents, assisting with legislative research, and supporting the day-to-day operations of a congressional office.
Internships require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week for part-time positions. Both paid and unpaid opportunities are available, with paid interns receiving a monthly stipend based on their schedule. College credit may also be available, depending on school requirements. All internships are in-person.
Strong candidates should possess:

- Comfortable assisting both constituents and Members of Congress
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Keen attention to detail and strong work ethic
- A team-oriented mindset
- Basic knowledge of the U.S. Government
Ties to California’s 26th Congressional District are strongly preferred.

Washington, DC Office
In my Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the spring, summer, and fall The Washington, DC office offers internships during the spring, summer, and fall semesters for college students. Hours are flexible to accommodate course schedules but generally take place Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Interns will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced congressional office. Responsibilities include answering phones, coordinating and leading U.S. Capitol tours, researching legislation for legislative staff, attending hearings, briefings, and press conferences, assisting the communications team, drafting constituent correspondence, and supporting other projects as needed. This internship is an excellent opportunity for those interested in public service and the legislative process.
District Office
The district office offers internships year-round for college students. Hours are flexible based on course schedules but typically follow office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Interns will develop professional skills while assisting with constituent casework, attending local community events, and supporting district-based projects. This internship provides valuable experience working with congressional staff and community members while offering insight into the district office’s role as a liaison between constituents, local government, and federal agencies.
