Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Brownley (D-Westlake Village), introduced a resolution to call for the establishment of “Forever” stamp series that will honor the service of the over two million women veterans who have served our nation.
“Over two million women veterans have served our nation with honor and distinction, and they often go from being a visible minority while serving to an invisible minority when they become veterans. Women have served in our military since the Revolutionary War, and it is important that we recognize their significant contributions in service to our nation,” said Congresswoman Brownley. “That is why I have introduced this resolution to call for the issuance of a ‘Forever’ stamp series to help raise the visibility of these heroes.”
