Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) issued the following statement today regarding U.S. airstrikes in Syria:
“The murder of innocent men, women, and children using chemical weapons was a crime against humanity, for which President Bashar al-Assad must be held accountable. It is important that we continue to coordinate with allies, including England and France, to address this situation. Congress also must exercise its legal obligation to weigh in on any further action.”
