2021 was a year of incredible challenges for Americans across the country – and across Ventura County. Our local and national economies were still reeling from the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic, many families feared for the health of their loved ones, and businesses struggled to keep their doors open.

Recently, the U.S. House of Representatives has taken decisive action to move our nation forward and build an economy that works for everyone. Join me for a telephone town hall to discuss the recent passage of the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which makes the largest federal investment in our nation’s infrastructure in decades, and the Build Back Better Act, a bold, once-in-a-generation opportunity that is not only an investment in today – but an investment in our future.

On this Veterans Day, we must commit not only to express our gratitude to our veterans, but to also fulfill our nation’s solemn promise: just as the military pledges to leave no soldier behind on the battlefield, we must leave no veteran behind when they return home. How we care for our veterans is a measure of our character as a country.
