Brownley, House Natural Resources Democrats Demand Answers on Trump’s Whitewashing of American History in National Parks
Congresswoman Julia Brownley, a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, joined Congressman Jared Huffman, the Committee’s Ranking Member, and 11 Democratic colleagues in a letter demanding answers from Interior Secretary Doug Burgum over the Trump administration’s ongoing efforts to rewrite American history by scrubbing national parks of accurate, inclusive, and science-based content.

Brownley, Kuster, Pingree, Booker Introduce Legislation to Incentivize Sustainable Practices and Reduce Food Waste
Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-CA), Congresswoman Ann McLane Kuster (D-NH), and Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-ME) introduced two bills, the Zero Food Waste Act and the Cultivating Organic Matter through the Promotion Of Sustainable Techniques (COMPOST) Act, to reduce the amount of food wasted in the U.S. and to redirect food waste to composting projects. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) introduced companion legislation in the U.S. Senate.
