Since President Trump took office, my office has been flooded with calls from constituents deeply concerned about the unconstitutional actions of his Administration.
Democratic Leadership has put forward a ten-point plan outlining how House Democrats are fighting back against these actions and working to protect the rights and well-being of Americans. Our strategy is centered around three core pillars: Legislation, Litigation, and Mobilization.
Last week, my Democratic colleagues and I introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act to safeguard Americans’ privacy and stop the takeover of the federal payment systems at the U.S. Department of Treasury. We have also established a Rapid Response Task Force and Litigation Working Group to protect and defend everyday Americans from the harm being inflicted by the Trump Administration’s policies and actions.
Join My Upcoming Town Hall
On Wednesday, February 19, I will be hosting a telephone town hall with House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin. We’ll discuss what’s happening in Washington and what House Democrats are doing to address the issues that matter most to you.
This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and share your thoughts. Representatives from Democracy Forward will also be available to update you on the litigation efforts to stop Elon Musk, Trump’s DOGE appointee, from accessing your private information, as well as efforts to stop Trump and Musk’s executive orders from withholding grant funds, halting critical infrastructure projects, and so much more. If you’re interested in joining, visit my website to sign up.
