This year has been especially difficult for working families across the country, and my focus has been on delivering real support here at home. From reckless and aggressive immigration operations in our communities, to massive disruptions to the federal workforce caused by a record-breaking government shutdown, to the erosion of judicial independence, to the dismantling of the U.S. Department of Education, to an all-out assault on healthcare affordability and food assistance, our community has endured challenge after challenge.

Yet in the face of immense adversity and a growing threat of authoritarianism, our community has stood strong. Neighbors have come together to support one another, defend our shared values, and protect the foundations of our democracy. The resilience, compassion, and integrity that define Ventura County and the Conejo Valley have been a powerful source of strength and a constant inspiration for my work in Congress.

As this year draws to a close, I want to share just a few of the ways my office has worked to deliver for our community through these unprecedented times.

This year alone, my office opened 1,726 constituent cases, helping veterans and their families access health care and earned benefits, assisting small businesses in securing critical loans, and helping older Americans receive the Social Security benefits they are owed. We also helped return $9.7 million to constituents and responded to 75,152 letters, calls, and emails from community members on issues ranging from healthcare affordability and federal education funding, to concerns about immigration, and government accountability and transparency.

I am proud to serve as your representative in Congress and fight for our region’s priorities. I remain committed to advancing the commonsense policies that move our community forward and deliver a stronger future for working families, and I look forward to continuing this important work in 2026.

As always, my office remains open to assist you. If you or someone you know needs help navigating a federal issue, please do not hesitate to contact my office at (805) 379-1779.

Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy new year!

Sincerely,

JULIA BROWNLEY
