Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) released the following statement regarding Paul Ryan’s budget:
“The Ryan Budget would end Medicare as we know it, make college less affordable, and kick millions of Americans off of their private health insurance plans, while giving more tax breaks to the top 1 percent and increasing incentives for corporations to shift jobs overseas. Budgets are values statements, and the Ryan Budget clearly values giving even more to the Koch brothers and their friends, while making life more difficult for middle-class families, seniors, students, veterans, and women. That doesn’t represent the values of the American people or the values of my constituents in Ventura County.”
