Thousand Oaks, CA – Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-CA) hosted the annual Valentines for Vets event throughout Ventura County and the Conejo Valley, encouraging students in California’s 26th Congressional District to create valentines for local veterans. These heartfelt cards were delivered to veterans’ organizations and centers throughout the district.

Valentines for Vets is always a huge success, and this year was no exception,” said Congresswoman Julia Brownley. “This event brought our community together to help recognize our local heroes and share our appreciation for their service to our country, all while encouraging our youth to thoughtfully engage in creativity and kindness. Students throughout Ventura County and the Conejo Valley participated in this year’s project, and collectively, they created over 2,600 cards for our local veterans! It was truly touching to see our students’ enthusiastic commitment to this beloved community tradition.”
