Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) introduced a bill that would repeal the provision in the Bipartisan Budget Agreement (H.J. Res. 59) that reduces the Cost-of-Living-Adjustment (COLA) for military retirees under the age of 62.

“As a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, I believe our servicemembers, veterans, and their families must receive the benefits they have earned and deserve,” said Congresswoman Brownley. “These benefits are owed to them without equivocation. That is why I have introduced legislation to repeal the military retiree COLA reduction.”
