Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) introduced the VA Investigation and Accountability Act, a bill that would provide $12 million in Fiscal Year 2014 emergency supplemental appropriations for the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

“Recently, the Office of the Inspector General responded to a whistleblower in my Congressional District that a complaint could not be addressed due to limited resources,” said Congresswoman Brownley. “The OIG’s work is a critical tool in the fight to provide our veterans with the care they need, have earned and deserve, in a timely manner. Given the serious and mounting whistleblower complaints, Congress should not hesitate to provide the OIG with the resources they need to continue their work.”
