Washington, D.C. — Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley (D-Westlake Village) released the following statement in remembrance of the 13th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks:
“Thirteen years ago today, nearly 3,000 people died in senseless acts of terror. We remember the lives of those who perished and send our thoughts and prayers to the families whose loved ones were taken from them far too soon. On this day, we also thank and commend the brave first responders who put their lives on the line to ensure the safety and security of others. The resiliency and unity of our nation following these attacks should serve as an important reminder that our country is best when we stand together.”
