Brownley Amendments Approved by House Committee
Today, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee approved the Surface Transportation Reauthorization and Reform Act of 2015 (H.R. 3763), a six-year bill to authorize highway and transit programs across the United States. Today, Congresswoman Julia Brownley announced a random-selection lottery for a limited number of tickets to attend an address by His Holiness Pope Francis before a joint session of the United States Congress on Thursday, September 24, 2015. Only constituents from California’s 26th Congressional District may participate in the lottery. Ticket holders will be able to view the address from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol via televised broadcast.
