Brownley joined Congressman Bruce Westerman (R-AR) in introducing the resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Senators Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Angus King (I-ME), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) introduced the companion resolution in the U.S. Senate.
